Coolest UK Campsites
It will come as no surprise to you that at Your Camper, we love camping and the great outdoors. Over the years, we have found some hidden (and not so hidden) gems of campsites that are among the coolest in the UK. Check them out below and let us know if there are any others that deserve to make this list.
WOWO (Wapsbourne Manor Farm)
Sheffield Park, East Sussex
This one makes the top of our list. Wonderful and unique, this campsite is around two hours’ drive from London but feels an entire world away. During the summer weekend evenings, there’s plenty going on from soup suppers to pizza making.
150 acres of nature and woodland leave plenty of room for exploring, with yurts and bell tents available for the glampers or those looking for a night of luxury.
Saturday night is music night, gather round the campfire and musicians can camp for free in exchange for a song or two – we are a huge fan of this.
Pleasant Streams Farm
Lower Sticker, St Austell, Cornwall
Pleasant by name and pleasant by nature. Literally. There’s a lake in the middle of the campsite which attracts wildlife and vintage campervans to hire if your pals would prefer a roof to a tent next to your camper. Go hiking or biking in the day and retreat here in the evening with a campfire and a BBQ.
Ocean Pitch
Moor Lane, Croyde, Devon
What is better than opening your campervan doors each morning and seeing the Ocean? This campsite is located a stone’s throw away from the beach so if you’re a keen surfer you can keep a firm eye on those waves. If surfing isn’t your bag, relax and enjoy your BBQ with the ocean in view.
Sitting on the coastal path, you can get to the other nearby beaches on foot, so whether you’re looking for an evening stroll or a morning walk, Ocean Pitch can cater for you.
If you’re heading to any of these sites, let us know! If you’re on the hunt for a campervan in Glasgow, get in touch to see how we can help.
