Essentials to pack

Heading on a camping trip is an exhilarating experience but don’t be caught unawares! Make sure you are ready for any eventuality with our guide to essential packing tips…

First Aid Kit

We hope you never have to use it but chances are, you probably will. Accidents happen but don’t let that mean the end of the trip. A middle of the range first-aid kit won’t set you back a fortune and can be used to treat more serious incidents that might otherwise cut your dream holiday short.

 Insect Repellent

Whilst not life-threatening, those pesky insects have caused many holiday makers to pack their bags and head home. They bite, they sting, they itch and they are completely preventable! Any scenery from long distance hiking will be much more enjoyable when you don’t have to swat the bugs from your view!

Water Bottle

When going on a camping trip, it is important to pack light but it is also important to pack well. Of all the items to pack, make this one your priority. Not only essential for your survival, you never know when you will be able to restock your water supply in an emergency. If you have space in the van, take as big a bottle as you can from which you can fill other smaller bottles for day trips. Trust us, if your van breaks down you will thank us for this!

A Good Quality Rucksack

One of the joys of a camping trip is the excitement of adventure that awaits. Hikes and other outdoor expeditions are often hours long, so you will need a rucksack to carry all of your gear. A good rucksack can be expensive but is a very good investment. Buying a comfortable, weather-resistant rucksack is very much advised. Make sure you don’t rush this decision, as panic-buying is never recommended!
