Isle of Wight

Perfectly small but packed full of things to see and do, as well as being completely and utterly picturesque. Check out our favourite things to see and do on the Isle of Wight so you can plan your next adventure.

Home of the Dinosaurs

One of the most popular places in Europe for fossil hunting, bring the kids or satisfy your inner palaeontologist by checking out the species that came way before us.

Stargazing

The Isle of Wight is one of the best places for stargazing because there is such a tiny amount of light pollution. If you want a date night or family evening with a difference, this is pure magic. There are lots of ‘hot spots’ despite the island only being small, so do your research, slide open the camper van door and get stargazing.

Beach trip

Blessed with some of the best beaches we have ever seen (aside from Scotland, of course!), there are a huge 14 to choose from on the island and they have water quality ratings of ‘Excellent’ and ‘Good’ so you are safe to swim and play.

Local food and local people

We found the island is very friendly and there are loads of local places to eat and drink. Despite it being small, (we think that is a good thing in all honesty, and you can go for long walks and see plenty along the way) there is plenty of choice and the quality of restaurants is amazing.

If you’re planning a trip, let us know! If you need a camper van for the occasion, we can help with that too. We are specialists in creating and sourcing camper vans in Glasgow so get in touch and see how we can help.
