Rainy day activities

So, you’re out on the roads and the heavens have done nothing but open. We know the feeling all too well but here are some rainy day activities for you to get stuck into.

Get your waterproof on

Now, this isn’t for everyone but we are big fans of getting the waterproofs on and heading out in all kinds of weather. If it isn’t too heavy or too chilly, you can often still head out on an adventure, even if it is tipping it down with rain.

Check out museums and attractions

While we are normally on a budget while adventuring, there are some free museums and attractions up and down the country. Get on TripAdvisor and get searching for things you can see and do so you don’t end up wasting a day or two.

Unpack a board game

If you’ve set up camp, get out a board game, a deck of cards or a book and settle in for the evening. Bad weather is sometimes and a blessing in disguise and gives us that little bit of downtime we needed…

Get creative

From cooking to writing, a drive-by tour or watching the sunset, get creative with your time and think a little outside the box, bad weather doesn’t mean you have to be rained off, you can still get up to all kinds of things from the comfort of your van, that is what they are there for after all!

There are a few of our rainy day activities but if you have some of your own, let us know. If you are looking for a camper in Glasgow, get in touch with the team at Your Camper and you can have your very own shelter from the rain.
