Tentatively planning

We don’t know about you, but we are tentatively planning, cautiously mapping out adventures and awaiting the day we can hop in the van and explore again. It has been a strange 12 or so months but, if, like us, here are some ways you can start planning, without having to cancel everything at two weeks' notice!

Write a dream list

Note down all of the places you want to visit and a few lines or bullet points about each destination. That way, when travel is allowed again, you can pick up where you left off and essentially just do the ‘booking’ part.

Have some fun with it

Make the planning a fun process. It is one of the most exciting parts of the trip, planning where to go, where you will stay and what you will do, so try not to get too bogged down in the details and whether or not it will happen.

Watch out for the weather

While in the UK it is extremely hard to plan according to the weather, think about the seasons and the kind of travel you want to do within them.

Get your essentials together

Pack what you can into the van now, that way when the time comes, you can hop in and hit the road. Avoid perishables, of course, but perhaps things like bedding and cutlery to get the ball rolling?

We hope you get to adventure soon, as we are itching to get back to it too. Let us know what you have planned, albeit tentatively, and if you are on the hunt for a used camper in Glasgow, you know where to find us.
