The Cairngorms is a huge National Park packed with beautiful scenery and hilly walks. With towering trees either side of you and winding roads through the entire park, it is a great place to explore in Scotland.
Bike Hire
If you want to park the camper up and head into the wilderness, head to Aviemore and hire a bike from a handful of different shops. You can then get on your bike and explore. From adventurous mountain bikers to families who want to go at their own pace, there are many trails to choose from. You can research the routes before you peddle off and check out all the relevant info online.
Big Walk
Glenmore Forest Park is situated at the foot of the Cairngorm Mountains. Known for its Caledonian pinewoods and beautiful flowers, it’s a popular hiking route and attracts over 250,000 visitors each year. Loch Morlich is nestled in the middle of the forest with a long sandy beach that was awarded the Rural Beach Award. If that isn’t enough to persuade you then maybe the huge range of outdoor activities will sway it for you.
Beauty Spot
If you want beauty, then Linn o Quoich will not disappoint. Stunning scenery and the peaks in the distance, you will find waterfalls scattered around the woodland and more specifically, the Punch Bowl, which is an unusual rock formation which looks like, a punch bowl. The waterfalls are a sight to behold and it’s near the top of our list of places to visit in the Cairngorms.
