Waterfalls of Wales
Nothing says adventure like hunting a waterfall, or so we think anyway. Wales is full of beauty and there are some stunning waterfalls to be seen as well. Here is our round up of some of our favourites so you can map them out and plan a trip from the comfort of your camper.
If you are planning on visiting any of these, remember that safety comes first and wear clothing and footwear suitable for the type of walk to get there. Take drinks and snacks and be careful on your travels…
Melincourt Waterfalls, Resolven
A stunning waterfall on the left bank of the Neath river, this is definitely one to stop and admire, plus you can reach it from the public footpath on the B4434, very handy!
Aber falls, Abergwyngregyn, Gwynedd
Two miles south of Abergwyngregyn and set right in the heart of Snowdonia National Park, this is one you won’t want to miss!
Devil's Bridge Falls, Ceredigion
Devil’s Bridge, or Pontarfynach, has been a tourist attraction for years and years. From the three bridges that are so picturesque to see, to the Welsh legend that they were built by the Devil himself as no human could have made them. Pay it a visit and decide for yourself…
Swallow Falls, Betws-y-Coed
This is just the nickname, and the real name is Rhaeadr Ewynnol. It is a stunning site of multiple falls, although you will need some small change to get in, as it is £2.50 for adults and 75p for those under 14, so well worth the money!
Sgwd yr Eira, Ystradfellte
Part of the sour falls walks, which you can access from Cwm Porth car park, this is worth a day trip so make sure you pack all the essentials and prepare for adventure.
We hope those falls have inspired you and if you have any favourites, we would love to know. If you are heading for adventure in Wales and need a van to take you there, come and see our converted campers at Your Camper. You can view online or view our converted camper vans in Glasgow, whichever is easiest for you and the team will be more than happy to help.
