Travelling with young children

If you are planning a weekend away with young children, here are some tips for a smoother ride. Whether you’re all travelling together or there is a group of you meeting up, these tips should make for more fun and more memories…

Games galore

Eye spy for the journeys and shell spotting on the beach, there are so many games you can play that require no screens and are totally free. Of course, get the screens out as and when you need to but see if there is a little fun to be hand in your surroundings!

Plan in some stops

From stretching legs to toilet breaks and everything else in between, plan stops along your route and before you get to your destination to keep the whole gang happy and on side.

Be at one with nature

Not as wild as it sounds, but you can gather sticks, build dens, explore the wilderness and learn things as you go. If you get the opportunity to be around nature with your little ones, we would absolutely encourage you to do that.

Have some fun!

Most importantly, have some fun! They’re only young once and your trip should be as fun for everyone as can be.

There are some of our tips but if you have any more we can pop in our back pockets, let us know. Safe and happy travels, and if you need a camper, visit Your Camper in Glasgow where the team will be more than happy to help you!
